Friday we were beginning to see the subtle changes in seasons begin. Some of the color was starting to fade. Trees were beginning to drop a few leaves. Ski Valley was getting snow on their peaks. And then winter blew in.
Friday night it started out as rain, real rain. Next came ice....lots of it. Followed by snow. Some where right before midnight the whole area lost power due to downed tree limbs. It was off for about 16 hours and then intermittent for the next 8 or so, but it was the most delightful sound when the water pump finally kicked back on.
The next few days the highs are supposed to be in the 60's again. I guess we have had fair warning.
